Footnote 05 — On Pace
There is a pace that belongs to you.
It does not rush to resolve
what is not ready.
It does not force clarity
where there is still unfolding.
This pace is often quieter
than what is expected.
Less visible.
Less easily measured.
But no less real.
It allows for pauses.
For uncertainty.
For the slow recognition
of what matters.
Much of what we carry
was not formed quickly.
It makes sense
that understanding it
would take time.
When we move too quickly,
we risk repeating what has already been lived
instead of relating to it differently.
Pace is not just about speed.
It is about relationship.
You don’t need to move faster
to be moving forward.
Sometimes the work
is simply to stay
with what is here
a little longer than before.
And in that staying,
something begins to shift.
